Barnes, Mr. Gaughan, Mrs. Litchfield, Mrs. Severance, Mr. Lord, Mr. Belcastro, Mr. Sperduto, Mr. Broderick, Mrs. Hall and Mr. Graustein. VISITORS. Mr. Cooper, Boy Scouts Mr. Michelson, Mr. Cady, Mr. Wyman, Mr. Brenchik, and Mr. Rooney, Parade Staff Mr. Cronin, Chamber of Commerce Sally and Becky Farwell, Debbie Harris, and Janet Shoemaker PATRIOTS DAY The four abovementioned girls call themselves the "Diamond Clowns" and told us about their antics to entertain people while marching in the parade. The girls were applauded for their interest and genuine effort for April 19th. The committee voted to accept this group in the parade, provided an adult accompanied them along the parade route, and if they gave the committee permission slips from home. Mr. Graustein suggested placing them near Fleepo, the Clown. Mr. Sperduto will contact Mrs. Farwell and firm up arrangements for the girls. It was noted that Mrs. Morey and Mr. Adams objected to the new parade route. The committee is of the opinion that this route will probably be an improvement. The street is equally wide on both sides of the statue; spectators opposite the reviewing stand will have a good view looking down from the sidewalk; the reviewing stand will have as clear a view down Massachusetts Avenue as before; there will be no sharp corner to turn for the floats; and the continuity of the parade should be excellent(no half-stepping). Mr.. Graustein -stated that assembly-time will be 1.00 p.m. sharp. - He went over the roster with his Division Marshals present. Civil Defense communications cars will be stationed at Marrett Road and Massabhusetts Avenue, Percy Road and Massachusetts Avenue, and Woburn Street and Massachusett Avenue. He stated that Division Aides will instruct Scout Aides for any duties. Mr Graustein stressed finding out the number of marchers in participating units in future parades. The shuttle bus will leave from the Library at 12;30 p.m. for East Lexington. We have permission to use the Pollen Church parking lot The front of the parade, from the Spirit of '76 to the High School Band (Sunrise Parade) will step off from this parking lot to ease some of the congestion. The marshals should be in East Lexington by 6 30 a.m 254 r Chief Corr will be asked to stop traffic around the Green when the bugle sounds "To The Colors" The Spirit of 176 includes David and Allen Estes and Dr. Clarke, fifer. Mr. Maxner is training this threesome. Mr. Graustein will get the official title of the Don Juan Band, Cambridge, and Mrs. Litchfield will officially invite them to march in the 4th Division. We cannot use the Bedford Militiamen this year. Senator Long has accepted our invitation to be our guest for the day. The check list was gone over. At our next meeting on April 14th, we will. disci;ss Memorial Day plans with members of the four veterans groups who will be present. There will be no meeting on April 21st. Respectfully submitted, Marilyn Hall Recording Secretary
