Barnes, Mr. Sperduto, Mr. Lord, Mrs. Litchfield, Mrs. Severance, Mrs. Hall, and Chief Marshal Graustein. CORRESPONDENCE Rep. Lincoln P. Cole, Jr. will read the Governor's Proclamation at the Sunrise service on the Green on Patriots Day The Norwood Continental Drum and Bugle Corps asked to march in the afternoon parade. This matter is pending. A call from Mary Ferris informed us that the Assistant Secretary of the Air Firce, the Honorable Leonard Marks, Jr., will be with us on April 19th for some part of the day's activities. The committee received a very fine letter from General and Mrs. O'Neill thanking us for our letter of sympathy in the loss of their son in Viet Nam. The Boston Fire Department asks if we would like to have their Honor Rifle Guard in the afternoon parade. This would be an additional $100.00. This matter is pending. The Air Force would again like to film our April 19th activities on 16 mm. film with sound We will caution them not to impede any of the town's activities, and welcome their photographic efforts graciously. We will try to arrange a spot near the reviewing stand for the filming. GENERAL The reviewing stand will fit nicely on the Massachusetts Avenue- side-of- the Green. Mr. Sperduto has received a float return from the Lexington Republican Town Committee. Mr. Sperduto will ask all float participants to meet with this committee next week. Mr. Cronin, Chamber of Commerce, will assist Mr. Sperduto with this meeting. Chief Marshal Graustein's three Staff Aides have accepted his invitation. His Chief of Staff will be William Brenchik He has called a meeting of his Division Marshals and Chief of Staff to meet with this committee on April 7th. The Pre-Parade Briefing meeting will be on April 17th at 2 p.m. in the Selectmen's Office. Mr. Graustein asked Mr. Cooper to supply about a dozen Boy Scouts to act as Junior Aides, in assisting the Division Marshals and Aides. Respectfully submitted, Marilyn Hall Recording Secretary 248
