Gen. and Mrs. O'Neill accept our Patriots Day invitation.
Col, and Mrs. Shiely also accept our Patriots Day invitation.
4 letter from F. Bradford Morse states he finds there are no Astronauts
available to be with us on the 19th of April, since their schedules are
very complex.
We have received Float Applications which were returned to us from the
following groups, thus comprising the first four float applications in
Lexington Order of the Elks
Lexington Girl Scouts
Lexington Rotary Club
Lexington Branch of the Womens International League for
Peace and Freedom
The committee agrees to pay $200.00 for the Boston Fire Department
Band. It will be in the 5th Division.
Mr. Lord reported that Mr. Burke had already enlisted six people for
Guides on the 19th. He is to get the maps with write-ups to Mr. Burke.
The custodians are all set to be on duty on the 19th at the Adams and
Munroe schools, and the High School. The High School Band has accepted
our invitation to march, and is inviting other school bands back to
the cafeteria for refreshments after the parade.
-We-are-to- send to-the-president of the Promenaders and to Lady Lexington
an invitation to the luncheon, and notification of all activities we would
like them to participate in about a week to ten days prior to Patriots
Day, so that they will know what schedules they should meet, etc.
Mr. Sperduto will call Clifford Hunt to see how plans are coming for the
antique car participation in the parade.
Mrs. Litchfield will bring the arm bands to the next meeting so we can
take an accurate count, and see how many more need to be ordered

Mr. Graustein requested being able to ask three Aides per Division,
rather than a lesser number. The third Aide could bring up the
rear, and also be responsible for taking care of any emergencies
that might arise, being the one Aide to be in contact with the
communications cars The committee told Mr. Graustein it was fine
to go ahead with his plans. He will set a date for the Pre-Parade
Briefing Meeting soon, and asked that Mrs. Hall attend said meeting
to take down notes.
Respectfully submitted,
Marilyn Hall
