The Legion will again handle the children not belonging to any group, but who wish to march in the Sunrise Parade. It is Felt a Legion member should stay with these children and see to it they enter the parade at Munroe School in an orderly fa.,hion. It was suggested the cemetery driveway be used for the line -up prior to entering, the parade. The Legion will need one car in the afternoon parade. Mr. Nicoll asked about the British Consul, J.N.O.Curle. This committee will invite him and his aide, Major David Vass, and a copy of this letter will go to the Minute Men. Mr. ,Graustein again stressed the need for marchers in the afternoon parade. He emphasized having far more Lexington people in this parade than do already participate. He asked those present to give him by March 15th the number of marchers and the number of cars needed per group. The Veterans Of Foreign Wars will host the 2nd Division this year, that is, they will act as host unit. It;Lord—wi-U uggest—to—thc—power,-that beatLexingthr—High Schots' that the Band uniforms are too "plain Jane" besides needing hats to complete the uniform. Mr•. Graustein will ask his Aides to list the content of all units in each Division as to the number of marchers and the number of players. Mrs Litchfield and Mrs. Hall spoke with Mr. Morse at the Heritage Room at the Battle Green Inn about luncheon on April 19th. He is trying to have cow. one or more Astronauts. The Methuen High School Cadet Corps (2h0 people) can come and need transportation. They also have a Drum & Bugle Corps, so we will ask that both units come, and we will take care ni transportation. Mrs Litchfield will invite the Salem Rockettes Drum and Bugle Corps, plus the Holy Name Band from West Roxbury. She will also invite the Military Dignitaries to be our guests at luncheon, the reviewing stand, and at the reception. Mr Sperduto talked about Mexican Week in Boston coming around Patriots Day. The Pan American Society and the World Affairs Council thought it (we) would be nice to consider hosting some of these people on April 19th as a gesture of welcome. The high Mexican dignitaries might be invited to be on the reviewing stand, provided their numbers were small. At any rate, Mr. Sperduto will keep the committee informed on the Mexican plans as they materialize. If we decide to undertake ally hosting duties, this decision will come later, when plans are firmer. • The proposed menu for the April 19th luncheon is' Tomato juice Tenderloin tips with mushrooms Noodles Green Beans Hot rolls and butter Tossed salad with cheese dressing Ice cream and chocolate sauce Coffee Respectfully submitted, Marilyn Hall Recording Secretary
