He will be mailed a float application of er_the_first_of_the_year PERMANENT RAISING OF THE NATIONAL COLORS We haven't had a response from the telegram we sent to Congressman Morse last week. Therefore, Mrs Litchfield will call him direct tomorrow (November 5th) to try to set a date for this celebration. The High School Band is all set for performing, once the date is set. It is considered a very good idea for the town of Lexington to issue a Town Proclamation for this occasion. 218 Dick Michelson reported the Historic Districts Conmision will meet on December 1st to review the placing of a plaque by the Jaycees in commemoration of this occasion. Mr Broderick suggested this might be an excellent time to advise increasing the footing on the flagpole, since the pole itself is so large. The present plaque on the footing is 18" x 16i" The Jaycees would have their plaque identical in size If the footing were increased, the tyro plaques could be set side by side NOTE This committee will meet on November 11th at 8 p.m. in the Selectmen's office.
