Dr. MacDonald asked about the reason for not allowing the Concord
Minute Men to bring their fifes and drums. He was told that we
had already planned the music for the third division (Clan
MacPherson Band and Linn Village Drum Band), and any more music
would decrease the effectiveness of all ,conoerned. It was
carefully explained that there was no partiality shown toward
Concord, nore Lexington, nor °any members of the Centennial
Legion. The Chief Marshal must stop any other groups from
playing in the third division. It was a pleasure to have
Dr. MacDonald with us.
