TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE

CORRESPONDENCE.
General and Mrs. O'Neil have accepted for April 19th feastivities.
Senator Saitonstail will let us know whether or not he will be
with us:
J. N. 0. Curie and Mrs. Curie sent their regrets. They must be
at the Prudential opening on the 19th of April.
The Selectmen have been invited to all feastivities, by letter.
We are to invite Col. Wilcox, in Detroit, Michigan, to join us
on the 19th.
Mrs. Litchfield is to order three wreathes to be placed by the
Minute Men at appropriate ceremonies on April 19th.
Mrs. Litchfield will send Congressman Morse our April 19th
publicity to be used in a national publication.
A letter from the American Legion says they will sponsor the
"non—belonging children" in the Sunrise parade They expect
to host the visiting veterans groups numbering approximately
175, and are asking $150.00 for this colation.
We will invite the Methuen High School Cadet Corps to march
in the afternoon parade
Mr. Sperduto will call Dr. Hunt and request him to lint the
antique cars to twelve.
Mrs. Litchfield has ordered the Minute Man pins for favors at
ninety cents each.
We will invite the Rainbow Rangerettes of Winchester and Woburn,
ind offer to pay their transportation.

We will send the Ivanhoe Lodge, Knights of Pythias, in Arlington,
a float application, and ask if they would care to march on
the 19th.
Mrs. Litchfield will call Rose Roeder to request the Red
Cross ambulance to be in both parades.
Mr. Gillespie will ask for volunteers to play in the High School
Band at the Green on April 18th, Easter Sunday afternoon. He
feels he cannot insist on attendance because of the holiday.
The Band will accompany the Song Fest.

The turkey dinners for the Fort Devens men at Anthonyts will run
42.04 per person.
Mr. Broderick is working toward keeping the cost of car signs to
a minimum, and seeing to it they are not too big for the car
doors. Mr. Healy suggested a Mr: Arthur Thyng on Marrett Road
for making these signs. He will contact Mr. Thyng.
Mr. DiGiammarino contacted Mrs Fox concerning the movies for
April 19th. No firm decision has been made as yet.
Mr. Broderick seemed assured the Lexington Academy Marching Band
will participate in the Sunrise parade.
