TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE
March 4, 1965

Mrs. Litchfield was asked to invite J. N. 0. Curle, H. M. Consul
General to our luncheon and parade activities.
Mr. Brown announced there will be a seed—formal dance to be held
at the Armory on May 15th, from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight.
The Minute Men expect 450 to 500 guests to their April 19th
colation. We will let them know how much money they can expect
from us. They will notify our Chief Marshal of their acceptances,
by name. It was mentioned that the last shuttle bus to East
Lexington would carry the Minute Men.
CORRESPONDENCE:
Col. and Mrs. Barrere have accepted ( U. S Air Force, E. S D.).
Rear Admiral and Mrs. J. A. Alger, Jr. have accepted ( U. S. C. G. )
plus an aide.
The Honorable Bradford Morse has accepted.
Tufts University Naval R. 0. T. C. Marching Unit has accepted.
The- Grotto Oriental—Band has accepted.
Gloucester R. 0. T. C. Band has accepted with its Drill Team.
Bedford Militiamen are coming, but are not to have any
accompanying car or truck in the parade.
We will write the Mount Vernon Guard, Virginia, to check on their
requirements for participation in our parade. We would work
closely with Concord on any arrangements.
It
was voted to send the Holy Name Senior Band 0100.00 toward
their expenses.

Mr. Broderick will check with the Grey Nuns about their Band's
possible participation in our Sunrise parade. Mr. Broderick
will also check with the Belfry Club on any details for the
reception. Mr. Broderick will take care of car signs.
Mrs. Litchfield will bring the list of acceptances to our
next meeting.
Mr. Gaughan announced that Rojee will decorate the Town
buildings, the libraries, Sand the Reviewing Stand.
Mr. DiGiammarino announced that Mr. Alford Peckham wants to
take 2" x 2" slides on April 19th. Mr DiGiammarino will
ask Mrs. Pat Fox if she would be willing to take 8 mm.
movies for us.
Mr. Guiler, our Chief Marshal, was briefed on his duties.
