The American Legion is planning the same program as last year. They invite about twenty—six neighboring Legion posts to participate. The Legion takes care of the marching school children in the early parade, but would like our publicity to make it clear that these children be at least of school age. Mr. Gaughan mentioned the possibility of getting the PTA's to help the Legion in this activity. The Legion also has a refreshment booth and acts as hosts to visiting Legion units and Federal units. There was a discussion of the traffic problems in connection with the parades. Mr. Rudd will work out a specific traffic plan to bring to next week's meeting with a program to present to the Police Chief.
