answer from Fitchburg about their transportation fee ENCE

ments will be made after the 1st of January She will
also write and thank Mr Goodridge of Hancock School,
and the High School Assembly Committee for their excel-
lent programs on UN Day Mrs Beardsley will write Mr
Buck of the high school and Curt Priest and Stefan
Filipowski for their Camera Club work at the UN Assembly
The budget for 1964 is due Nov 1 After dis- BUDGET
cussion the committee agreed to ask for $4500 as
before the 250th If Veterans Day and Memorial Day are
included in this committee's domain, that will come
under a separate budget
Mr Barnes felt that the 3 programs went very UN DAY
well, and had the following suggestions to make :
a Morning program the participating groups stand
closer for the flag raising ceremony at the Green
b The committee should review the check list and
include details of steps taken to organize UN Day
Mr Barnes said we should hear from the First APRIL 19
Performance Co, in Nov as to whether "They Nobly Dar'd"
will be produced again this April
Mr Fenske-will-contact- -Mr— Gillespie -about-the — —
children' s band program on the Green Sunday with the Linn
Village Band
Mr Gaughan mentioned the crowded Green at the
morning parade He felt that rather than exclude any
children from the parade, a semi-circular grouping
rather than the straight lines, with 8 or 10 Division
Aides for direction would help the situation
According to Mrs Litchfield' s records she con-
tacted the Armed Forces Rands last year before Nov 10,
and the ROTC bands later in the month She will write
Fort Devens, 1st Naval District, and the Air Force Drum
& Bugle at once Norwich, Northeastern and Tufts later
in the month.
