APRIL 19 Doris Pullen of the First Performance Company,
producers of last year' s pageant, "They Nobly Dar° " p '
came to the committee to ask if we would consider
sponsoring the show once again for 2 performances this
April There would be no financial or other responsi-
bility for the committee It would be mostly a matter
of shared publicity with our other programs There has
been a general demand that the show be done again, and
Mrs Pullen told. of a citation the First Performance
Co received at the N E. Theater Conference this fall
for their work They would like to have the committee ' s
answer after our October 31 meeting
After Mrs Pullen left, the committee voted to
notify the First Performance Co that they might pro-
duce the pageant again, and Mrs Litchfield will notify
them
Mrs Litchfield said the Fitchburg Band trans-
portation bill has never been received She will write
and ask for it before January 1
Selectman Cole came in to the committee at the
end of the meeting to discuss Veterans Day, November 11,
and Memorial Day, May 30, both of which celebrations
have been handled by a special Veterans Committee He
wondered how the Town Celebrations Committee felt about
taking them on Mr Barnes felt they properly belonged
under this committee' s jurisdiction Mrs Bayle sug-
gested that Mr Healy, who had b en the prime person
organizing these celebrations, be added to this com-
mittee and continue to oversee them, and that we begin
with the next Memorial Day celebration
