The minutes of the last meeting were accepted as presented We were notified that Alan Mans will partici- CORRESPOND- pate in the exchange of flag ceremony on April 14 ENCE Ray Lewis informed us the tickets for "They Nobly Dar'd" were all sold out Norwich University informed us that it would not be necessary for us to provide a meal It was agreed that the Committee would pay Norwich .4 99 per head in lieu of the meal and this would appear sepa- rately on the voucher Gen. Schriever will attend the luncheon and Parade as will Gen. Glasser and his wife and Gen Terhune and his wife Mrs Litchfield will ask Mr Beardsley to sub- stitute for Mr Howard and give the benediction The Lawrence High School Band of Falmouth wishes to come at no cost to the Town Mr Rudd will notify Mr Tarbox and Mrs Litchfield will extend an invitation on those terms Reading High School wnuld like to pertinipetc on the usual terms, and they will be invited to do so After being notified of the chancre in the after- CHIEF noon parade due to the presence of the Foreign Ambas- RYCROFT sadors, the Chief suggested police in the reserved area The Minute Men will have to take care of the safety precautions for their firing demonstration The Committee will have the responsibility of marking the bus route A car for Miss Lexington will be provided be- KEN REYNOLDS hind the Jaycee's float Permission was granted the Jaycee 's to have a small foreign car with Bean Pot in the parade 42 I LINCOLN Discussed. the Freedom Committee ' s plans for COLE Motorcade All cars will be out of the assembly area by 1 :55 NEIL Permission was granted for Mrs Massachusetts CRONIN to ride in a convertible in the 4th Division She will provide a proper sign The Reading Drill Team will hire their own transportation Final information on the Shrine transportation is not yet in The Belles of St Mary will come for $50 as suggested Two new guides have just been licensed and would like uniforms Mr DiGiammarino will take care of it Mrs Ryder will be notified of the position of the Red Cross ambulance Father O'Connor will be sent the Morning 1 Parade order The USS Yosemite will send a unit of 28 who will be picked up at Bethlehem Shipyard dry dock Hayden has invited the Committee to attend the Youth Dance The Committee has been invited to the Concord Ball We will send regrets The Committee has ben invited to the cast party on Saturday night The 250th will march at the head of the 2d Division Seats on the Reviewing Stand will be re- served for several of the 250th committee members John Hancock Life Insurance Co wishes to pre- sent a picture of Paul Revere to the town The His- torical Society will accept the portrait if the town will give it to them The presentation ceremony will be scheduled for the morning ceremonies Mrs Litchfield was instructed to reply to a letter received concerning the religious content of the benediction by saying that it is our policy to rotate among the various faiths and not to censor con- tent 43 The DeNolay will be informed that only those having floats in the parade will have the privilege of having a convertible also Town Treasurer notified us $5000. appropriated TREASURER'S Ars Litchfield will ask for statment on $3200. REPORT Pat Fox paid $35 to Eames Drum Co James Broderick reported that the Roster changes have been covered The Hancock Church lavoratory faci- lities will not be available Eric Hanley will be taking official pictures The Subcommittee has invited him to extend his coverage. The Guides map material was updated and arrange- ment made for printing it. It was agreed that we would, pay $2. 75 for the luncheon. Mr Howard will meet with Er. Parks. Mr Legro , and Ray Lewis on the question of the disposition of the properties of "They Nobly Dar'd" If necessary, this question will be brought before the Selectmen. The Committee voted to purchase a ticket for Mr Howard' s Secretary for the Latin American Banquet to show our appreciation for all the help she has given us.
