Howard, Cobb, Gilman and Gaughan Mrs Fernberger and Mr Douglass were absent Also present were Police Chief Rycroft; Mr Lewis, Chief Marshal and Dr MacDonald, a representative of the Civilian Defense Boy Scouts are to be used as runners and mes- APRIL 19 sengers in the parades, and check unauthorized vehicles or individuals A series of questions to be brought to the at- tention of Chief Rycroft were discussed. Mr Lewis: Mr Lewis told us of some last minute changes in the roster The committee made and seconded a motion that an antique fire engine offered us from Acton could enter the parade only with the antique cars, and they could not throw out candy or advertise on the engine Mr Litchfield reported that the Coast Guard participants have arranged to come in their own cars. The American Legion will host them after the parade. Mr Poplawski made a motion that we use 2 of our U.N. flags at the area The motion lost as a result of a tie vote by Mrs Fox in the absence of Mrs Gernberger
