January 25, 1962
The Committee met at the Town Offices at 8 :00
p m. Present were: Mrs Fox, Mrs. Litchfield, and
Messrs. Cobb, Howard, Poplawski , Douglass and Gilman.
Also present were members of the 250th Committee :
Mrs. Nussdorfer, Mrs. LaPorte and Messrs Foster,
Hutchins, Worthet; Parks and Cronin
Officers of the 250th Anniversary Subcommittee are : 250TH
Chairman - Charles Parks
Vice Chairman - Leonard Foster
Secretary - Mrs. Theodore Nussdorfer
Treasurer - Mr Edward Worthen
The 250th subcommittee suggests an amendment
this March to find out what the town wants for an ap-
propriation to celebrate this event It also suggested
consultation with the Appropriation Committee They
reported election of officers, as above, and an at-
tempt to define responsibilities In this respect.
they requested a list of responsibilities in writing
from the TCC by their next meeting, which will be held
February 1.
Coast Guard: has accepted our invitation APRIL 19
011 Guard Fife and Drum Corps : Brad Morse is trying to
vet the corps here. However, it has to be in Seattle
on April 20.
Sons of Union Veterans has written asking to participate
Sty Anthony's Dri 11 Team:_has -written-asks-ng to-part-is-ipato
Devon Drum and Buwle Corps : has written asking to participate
Morning Parade : no report
Luncheon: Battle Green Inn will setup screens to insure
privacy.
Guests : Leo Gaughan will take care of cars, signs, trans-
portation of wives to the Buckman Tavern
Reviewing Stand : Ray Lewis will contact Exec-U-Tone for
a public address system. Leo Poplawski will arrange
with John Carrol to erect the stand and put flags up.

Reception: The Belfry Club has been hired ($25 )
Drum and Bugle : The decision to hold a drum and bugle
corps competition now depends on the Knights of Colum-
bus and the Elks If it is not held this year, the
information will be turned over to the subcommittee for
next year To cover expenses, $400 is needed Seven
clubs will each responsible for $200 Tickets will be
sold ahead Any profit will be prorated back to the
clubs.
