TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMIT'TiE
April 20, 1959
The twenty-fifth meeting of the 1958-59 Town
Celebrations Committee was held at the home of Mr
Gustin at 9 30 a.m on. April 20, 1959 Present
were Messrs Gustin, Cronin, Cole, Hutchins, Cobb,
Bongiorno; Mesdames Pullen, Litchfield and Williams
Mrs Cheever was also present
The purpose of the meeting was to determine
whether or not to call off the afternoon parade be-
cause of inclement weather ( The early parade had
been cancelled. )
It was voted unanimously to have the parade VOTE
It was voted that the Lion' s Club presenta- VOTE
tion of a white tricorn.e hat to an outstanding Lex-
ington citizen would be made at the luncheon
It was decided that it would be fairer to
judge floats where they were being assembled before
the parade Mr Bongiorno will notify the judges
Mrs Pullen will notify WBZ ( radio station)
to announce at 10 00 a.m that the Lexington Parade
will take place at 2 00 p.m
