Gustin, Poehler, Lewis, Cole ; Mrs. Pullen and Mrs Litchfield Also, Mrs . William E Maloney, Mr and Mrs Skinner, Mr James Sumner, Bob Baptiste, Ruth Morash, Mr and Mrs Colby Kelly, for Promenaders Mr. Gustin explained the set-up and func- tion of this committee Plans for the participation PROMENADERS of. the Promenaders on the 19th were discussed They will hold a dance the night of the 18th The girl chosen as "queen" will be featured in the parade Instead of calling her "queen" the committee sug- gested "Lady Lexington" Suggestions will be taken back to the Promenaders for further discussion Mr Kelley asked the committee if financial help could be given to defray expenses of the dance, and was informed by the committee that town money could not be so used. Mrs Litchfield will ask Mrs . Cheever if she could continue to run off copies of secretary' s minutes . Committee insists she should be reimbursed for this service Letter from selectmen was read, appointing APPOINTMENT - Mrs Sidney B. Williams to Mrs Cheever' s unexpired MRS WILLIAMS term :+Fre. Litchfield-was-ine L.-,.. Lod Lu write all organizations in town asking them to meeting Feb 27, 1958 in Estabrook Hall, to discuss plans for the 19th. Mr Lewis said he and Mr Hutchins will meet shortly to send out invitations to military units I and bands Mrs Litchfield was asked to write Chief Rycroft, inviting him to meeting March 6th to work out plans for police protection on the 19th Mr Gustin read letter from Lions Club for permission for road race , award of white tricorne hat, entry of float, and sale of tricorne hats Mr 132 Cole also asked permission for erection of food stand on lawn of Episcopal rectory Il Mr Poehler made a motion, duly seconded, that Mr Gustin go to selectmen for interpretation and clarification of committee' s responsibility in granting permission to groups for stands, etc Motion carried Eleanor B Litchfield Secretary 1
