TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE
January 2, 1958
The sixteenth meeting of the Town Celebrations
Committee was held in the conference room, Cary Mem-
orial Hall at 8 15 p.m , January 2, 1958 Present
Messrs . Gustin, Lewis , Cole; Mesdames Litchfield and
Pullen.
Mr Gustin distributed copies of committee' s
budget of A4200 for 1958
Following appointments were made for the 19th COMMITTEE
FOR APRIL
Marshal for afternoon parade Mr Rooney 19th
" morning " Mr Cole
Bands Mr.Hutchins & Mr Lewis
Loud Speaker Mr Lewis
Decorations Mr Gus tin
Floats Mr Poehler
Mr Gustin reported tie Belfry Club has been
rented for the 19th, and he will try to rent Masonic
Hall
Mrs Marie Muse will take care of catering for
the day
Guest of honor was discussed, and Mrs. Cheever
will write to Edith Nourse Rogers to try to have Mr.
Nixon
The question of some kind of a "gimmick" for
the 19th was discussed, with no decision Something
+^ reaffirm—ou way of—life appealed to those memoers
present.
Mrs Pullen will write to the sixteen other Lex-
ingtons and ask them for historical information on their
towns for our library.
