Minutes - Executive Session - February 24, 1973
The meeting was called to order in Cary Hall at 11 10 a.m in order to bring
about a decision on the theme for the bicentennial All suggestions were voted upon
and the field narrowed to one
'Pride in our past, Faith in our future
All agreed that tins was the idea needed but felt that perhaps some refinements could
be made which would put tore pep in the idea A motion was made to let it stand but
if between now and the next meeting refinements can be made they would be allowed
before final vote There will be no announcement of the chosen theme It was so roved
Also agreed was that if new suggestions or modifications are not made at the next
meeting the theme will stand as stated
Members present at this meeting were Linc Cole, Tony Mancini, Roly Greeley,
Miriam Butts, Dick Michelson, Warren Butters, Steve Politi, King Howar4, Becky Nussdorfer,
and Alan Adams
The meeting adjourned at 12 15,
