Kingston Howard Chairman of the Lexington Bicentennial Committee onened the nroceedings with introduction and distributed conies of the evening' s agenda Renresuntativa's from all ten towns invited wer'.j nr.ea,cntt Acton, Arlington. Bedford, Burlington, Caaalisl.e, Lincoln, Sudbury, Witham, Wayland, and Woharn plus Mary Davey of the Stott. Bicentennial Committee, ?iostan Transportation Kenning Review, the Subregion gnterrtown Liaison Ccsrranittce (S$.LC) and Boston Globe. Planning Boards, Deportment of Ribiic Works, Police, Sele treen as well as Bicentennial Comniftternmcmbers sae:' repoesenTed. Discussion followed the outline of the agenua Worries about volume of vehicles, irntadcguute numbers of roads and parking spaces were detailed. Many present contributed their ideas and concerns on such matters as the possibilities of use of rail oad facilities; the satiety of persons coming to see the Uevents and the scheduling of events in the various towns. Mr. !inigan of Concord and Mr Fie,-ward of inington both outlined the plans for their respective towns ern or near April 19th 1975. Concord will hn,ve—three day celebration and e 10 day period of events. The day of the state or national holiday has not been established but Concord n.lana to use Saturday the 19th. Each of the other towns renorted on its own Arrril 19th agenda: Sudbury--Minutemen Militia Ball Muster on Anvil 19th on the green; and a march to Concord. Waltham—Silence' Had not heard plans Lincoln—Celebrating within the toren are involved in dedication of National Park. Arlington—Parades the legal holiday date leaves them undecided as to which day Carlisle—Every attennt not to attract as crowd they do pion a march to Concord. Wayland—connect with Concord, some home town events.
