Minutes 1/6/16 ECC Meeting
Jan 6 minutes ECC.
The Agenda for the meeting and notes held in Rm. 221 Public Services Bldg
Attendees: Joe Musacchia, Roger Borghesani, Chris Haines, Shawn Newell, Doug Holmes and
Bill Hadley

1) Approved of prior meeting minutes - unanimous
2) Update from DPF:
1. Discuss Lexington school building schedules and energy conservation options for new
school. Shawn reviewed the proposed Building Standards. The members present
supported Shawn’s recommendation to support 2-pipe induction HVAC installation due
to simplicity of design, investment, ease of maintenance and energy savings.
2. Review DPF energy usage data sheet noting a projected annual electricity savings of
435,927 kWh once all school projects are completed.
Update from DPW – Bill Hadley gave a quick update on the Hartwell Ave solar project.
-- Shawn distributed 5 year energy consumption spread sheet noting the
influence of weather, occupancy, space changes, etc. The big winner over
the past five years is street lights, down 65%
Communication status - not discussed
Ongoing projects – Shawn reviewed the handed out and summarized the school project list with
electrical savings noted above.
