Lexington ECC minutes of Meeting 1/7/15 Roger B. 1/11/15
A meeting of the Lexington Energy Conservation Committee was held on January 7, 2015,
6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Public Services Building, Bedford St., room 221.
In attendance: Chris Haines, Roger Borghesani, Paul Chernick, Doug Holmes, Bill Hadley,
Michael Segal, Joe Musacchia (chair)
Meeting notes and actions:
1) December 3 meeting minutes were approved
2) Update from DPF postponed
3) Update from DPW
Bill Hadley updated attendees on options under review for solar panel at Hartwell Ave
Composting Facility. For details, refer to the DPW update in ECC December minutes.
The ECC will review proposed panel layout along with financial implications for the
town at their 2/4 meeting.
4) Communication status
The Green Community energy report for the town is about a year behind due to a lack of
a designated person to gather and analyze data. The energy report is important to the
ECC as it is used to set energy conservation benchmarks for town facilities.

Need “carbon footprint” discussion
Discuss “0” net energy buildings/facilities
Review DOER energy efficiency and renewable programs
