It was agreed that tht, Commission should offer similar services to the Permanent Building Committee for the libraxy addition job, and to the building committee for the Minute-Man Regional T-V High School, Mr. Michelmav agreed to speak to Mr. Whiman of PBC and Mr. Molle- Christenson of MMRTVaS. Re also issued a plea that a member of the Commission volunteer to take over direction of this actIvity. Mr. Michelman reviewed the hislory of the voattered- HOUSING site housing effort. He reported, that the Lexington Housing Authority (LHJA ) is proceeding with enth,Isiasm on its project for the development of low' and moderate income housing on tax tit-ie lots Pe pointed out that if 'the LEA plans did not succeed it would be incumbent upon LCSR to find another soonsor. Mr. Eaton reported that because of budget cuts quanIpy by the Legislature, no increase in the nEToo program was possible this year. It was pointed out that more students could be accommodated if the tqition charge were lowered. Mrs. Clarke, who is Secretary to METCO, pointed out that there was no reflection on the quality of the Lexington program, which is considered excellent by the Council. Mr. Mann reported that St. Brigid plans for ST. BRIGID1S development of 16 units of multiple housing seem LOUSING to be economically not feasible. However, the Archdiocese is "tooling up" to become a developer and HUD has committed funds for the program® The St® Brigid°2 project could become feasible as part of a much larger Archdiocese effort. , The meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
