1. Make recommendations to the Selectmen.

The Chairman again outlined the meeting of January 27, 1964
of our Selectmen and the Chairman of the Planning Board with
the new officials of the Department of Public Works. (See minutes
of January 29, 1964) .
Jack Mitchell (Peach Tree Road) made the request that the
Selectmen write to the Department of Public Works to establish
the following
1. The Town prefers that Routes 128 and 2 shall
be used rather than extending Route 3 beyond
its present terminus.
2. The Selectmen have no stand on, any other
route at this time.
3. New studies by the Department of Public Works
shall consider extending Route 3 from 128
and not only consider an extension from the
end of the 2 mile stretch already owned by
the State in Lexington and Woburn.
A meeting will be held two weeks after the adjournment of
Town Meeting in order to compile information relating to
assessments and other facts on Route 3.
