HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-17-1964 September 17, 1964 The Hunting Safety Committee meeting was held at 8 00 P.M. in the Selectmenas Office Messrs Ripley, Hayes and Brown were present and were again assisted by hunters Dick Phelps and Frank Parsons. Mr Ripley stated that he and Charles Abbott visited Messrs Dailey, Meek and Carroll to discuss the hunting problem and ask for their cooperation with regard to limiting the number of permits and also to assist with the "posting" of their land. All three property owners were receptive to the requests Committee members agreed to request "No Hunting" signs be posted at the rear of the Franklin School property A review of all land areas open to huffing during the past two years was completed As a result, Mr Brown agreed to prepare a list of properties deemed unsafe for hunting and an additional list of the approved areas Copies will be presented to Chief Rycroft for his use as a guide Another meeting was scheduled for September 23, 1964 at 8 00 P.M.
