HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-25-1964 August 25, 1964 The second meeting of the Hunting Committee was held at 8 00 P.M. in the Selectments office Messrs Ripley, Hayes and Brown were present A report from Chief Rycroft revealed that there were only eighteen official complaints during the 1963 hunting season Of the eighteen complaints, six were from the Woodhaven area and five from the Maple Street area. The re- maining seven complaints came from other areas of the Town Forty-two property owners gave permission for hunting during 1963 Mr Brown agreed to contact the Town of Arlington and seek permission to post "No Hunting" signs on the Great Meadows The members felt that Willards Woods should also be posted. Mr Ripley informed the meeting that the Pheasant Season will commence on October 20, 1964 and continue thru November 30, 1964 Mr Ripley agreed to meet independently with some of the local hunters for their thoughts on what areas should be controlled as to hunting The committee agreed to meet again on September 9, 1964 at 7 00 P.M Otis Brown, Jr c c Vin Hayes c c Adin Ripley c c Hazel Murray, Selectments Office (
