HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpace and Building Needs Assessment Advisory Committee SPACE AND BUILDING NEEDS ASSESSMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE Members: Eleven(11)to thirteen(13) Appointed by: Board of Selectmen Term Length: Until acceptance of final report by the Board of Selectmen or March 30,2000. Description: The Space and Building Needs Assessment Advisory Committee is charged with assessing the capital building needs within the Town with the exception of Cary Library and those buildings in use as schools. The Committee will meet with all appropriate personnel so as to determine and assess the functionality of current and future space needs. In addition the Committee shall review all pertinent studies and evaluations of building maintenance construction and plans however preliminary to make recommendations as to capital building investment priorities. The Committee should assess whether current property inventory held by the Town is sufficient to meet future space and building needs and should identify properties for prospective acquisition to meet future space and building needs. Criteria for Membership: The Space and Building Needs Assessment Advisory Committee will have a member of the Board of Selectmen as its chair and should include a member of the School Committee,Permanent Building Committee,Town Meeting Members Association,Center Committee, appropriate neighborhood associations and the former Building Finance Committee, as well as liaisons from the Finance Committees.
