Advisory Committee
Members: Nine (9)
Appointed By Board of Selectmen
Appointed. January 29, 2001
Term Length. Until report is accepted
Description. The Community Preservation Act presents many opportunities and
challenges for Lexington. It is not clear what the long-term impacts of this
act will be on the Town's financial status. Some analysis of the tradeoff
needs to be made between the benefits of the act's vision and the long-
term fiscal implications of its acceptance. The committee should use the
Blue Ribbon Committee report and the Lexington 2020 Vision Report as
reference for future financial impact while examining the long-term
acquisition plans of the Conservation Commission and Lexhab.
