VOTE Minutes of December 13, 1984, approved with addition of library lot to list Discussion of Land Use Policy was interrupted by a brief fire drill Norma Bogan from the L.0 S plans to computerize data Ideal is to gain input from land owners, shop owners and Chamber of Commerce to better direct marketing promotion for the Center Jacqui Bateson noted that there would be resistance from shop owners to the inquiry (confidentiality) Land Use Policy 1 The role of Lexington Center - accepted 1.3 - delete "critical mass" and replace with word "market". 2 Retail, personal services, office use - 2 1 - Personal service - not to mean doctors Office development to include doctors 2 2 - This needs more work. Comment change "only" to "major" 3 Visual Form 3 1 - Delete "and grain". Discussion on dumpsters & incinerators Enforcement of regulations 3 2 - Accepted 3 3 - Accepted 3 4 - Availability of funds to owners to aid in sprucing up areas in Center 4 Adjoining residential areas 4 1 - Accepted 4 2 - Deleted Motion Bateson, second Sacco. Sorensen, lone dissenter Discussion of "Meter Maids" - Bob Sacco to Chief Furdon. Also of failed revitalized centers in Mass towns Second floor locations for some businesses Mary Hastings voted to Land Use Subcommittee. VOTE Unanimous vote to dissolve Land Use Subcommittee Mary - shortest appointment in CRC records Walter Tonaszuck report was distributed with little discussion.
