AD HOC TREE COMMITTEE

Description: The Selectmen's Ad Hoc Tree Committee shall provide the 2001
Annual Town Meeting with a proposal to create a by-law regarding the
care,preservation and replacement of trees (public and private)
throughout the Town of Lexington. The Cominittee shall consider
making recommendations as to appropriate level of public and private
funding necessary to meet the explicit and implicit reqnirements of this
new by-law.
In addition, the Committee shall examine and investigate all necessary
education programs regarding tree planting and maintenance as well as
to make recommendations as to the most effective and timely way for
the Town to initiate and complete a street tree inventory.
