B.Updates/Discussion
a.TeacherEase grading system-provided access to families
b.Discussed Renaissance star screener assessment for literacy and math-Screener 1 was in
December 2023 and the second screener will be at the end of February and on March 1st;
working out technical issues before deciding on what to do with the data and next steps
c.Social and Emotional goals and objectives -Restorative Justice,DEI,Executive Function
skills and how they all interact;will form the basis of the School Innovation Plan for the next 3
years
d.Preparing our grade 8 students for the transition to LHS;what can we do to "foam the
runway"for students?Discussed the idea of providing letter grades to grade 8 students
during trimester 3,to give them the experience of grading which is what is done at LHS.Due
to Covid,some students have never received letter grades
