Community Engagement Meeting Minutes
Pursuant to notice duly filed with the Town Clerk,the Semiquincentennial Commission
(Lex250)convened in a community engagement meeting on Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the
Lexington Community Center dining room
Present from the Lex 250 Commission:Suzie Barry (Select Board Member),Barry Cunha
(Business Representative),Jillian Tung (Music &Arts Representative),Steve Conners
(Reenactment Community),Mona Roy (Community Representative),Julie O’Leary (Civic
Representative),Noah Michelson (Community Representative),Jane Hundley (LPS 6-8 Social
Science Department Head),Bebe Fallick (Tourism Committee Representative),Cleve Coats
(Community Representative)Doug Lucente (Select Board Member),Bridger McGraw
(Community Representative),Ashley Rooney (Community Representative)
Guests included community members,Lexington staff,and representatives from state
organizations.
The meeting began at 7:10 pm.
Ms.Barry and Mr.Lucente welcomed guests and provided an overview of the Lex 250
Committee’s projects and events.They emphasized the importance of inclusivity of all of
Lexington’s community members and groups,and they encouraged active participation in Lex
250 celebrations by all.Small table discussions took place in which guests were encouraged to
talk about what excited them about the 250th and share ideas for ways to celebrate.The small
groups then re-convened as a larger group,and a representative from each table provided a
summary of the discussion points.
No actions were taken.
The meeting ended at approximately 8:45 pm.
