The Chair declared that a quorum was present.
The minutes of April 5 were approved
The next meeting will be on April 26, 2017 in the Parker Room, Town Office Building.
Lorain introduced Sue Stering who will join the TCC sub-committee
Patriots Day, Monday, April 17, 2017
Lorain provided a print out of the afternoon parade roster and asked for a final review.
Suzanne will create the final roster versions, both numeric and alphabetic and double-spaced
numeric, and send them via email to all the committee members.
Dick distributed a picture of the new check-in tent and sign that he is providing.
Karen, Dick, and Sue Stering will work at the check-in desk.
Sandy will create a list of committee members’ cell phone numbers for use on Patriots Day.
Golf cart assignments were discussed. Lorain will send out an email to the committee confirming
the golf cart assignments. The carts will be at the Visitors’ Center and committee members can pick
them up around noon. They can pick up the keys from June Baer at the Visitors’ Center.
Paul confirmed that the sponsor banners will be moved to the East Lexington Fire Station on
Saturday morning.
Lorain confirmed that copies of the parade unit media sheets should be provided to Lex Media and
Susan O’Keefe, who will be announcing the parade units on Patriots Day.
The parade stakes will be set up on Sunday at 3 pm. Paul, Wayne, Lorain, Linda D, and Sondra
Lucente’s son-in-law Eric will help.
Cerise reported that parade vehicle tags will be distributed by the Lexington Police at the parade.
Paul showed the committee how the radios borrowed from NEMA work.
Committee members should arrive at the re-enactment between 5 and 5:30 am.
Lorain will call Peter Kelly to ask for the use of a convertible in the morning parade.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
