Committee Members Absent: Dick Wolk (Vice Chair), Sandra Shaw, Melinda Walker Ms. Fenollosa called the meeting to order at 7:16 PM. 1) Judges Road/Pine Grove- Ms. Fenollosa advised that Carl Valente had requested an additional $16,000 to the $1,032,000 amount the CPC previously approved on March 10, to cover the Town's legal expenses for the transaction. She noted that the amount could be taken out of the Administrative Expense account or added to the project cost, which the Committee has done in the past. The Committee agreed that this latter option was preferable, and after a motion duly made and seconded, voted (6-0) to approve a new project cost for the Judges Road/Pine Grove project at $1,048,000. 2) Community Center Sidewalk- Ms. Fenollosa noted that the Town and the Scottish Rite have tentatively agreed to locate the proposed sidewalk adjacent to the driveway on the left side, connecting to the existing sidewalk closer to the Community Center. Such relocation would require additional funds because of the cut through the existing stone wall and other design issues, raising the project cost from the previously approved $220,000 to $250,000. After a motion duly made and seconded the Committee voted (6-0) to approve this higher project cost of $250,000. 3) CPC Report to 2017 Annual Town Meeting - Ms. Fenollosa described the changes to the Annual Report from the latest draft circulated on March 17: some minor typos and corrections suggested by Mr. Horton, the addition of a minority statement to the Stone Building project write-up, and the corrected amounts just voted on. Mr. Hornig asked that the text on page 1 describing the number of projects being recommended to Town Meeting be reduced to reflect the one Indefinitely Postponed project (Center Streetscape), and the Committee agreed that this was appropriate. Corresponding changes would be made throughout the text box on that page. After a motion duly made and seconded, the Committee then voted (6-0) to approve the 2017 Report to Annual Town Meeting as so corrected and modified. 1 There being no other business, after a motion duly made and seconded, the meeting was adjourned at 7:23 PM. Respectfully submitted, Marilyn Fenollosa Chair Community Preservation Committee 2
