As instructed, I am writing to request that the Byron/Lockwood/Mass. Ave. Neighborhood
Conservation District be known in the future as the Pierce -Lockwood NCD. We apologize for
any inconvenience. Not really having the background needed to choose an appropriate name
in the beginning, we just made sure that the three streets were included. After studying the
history, the Study Committee decided that Pierce -Lockwood was shorter, more appropriate,
and more elegant.
The new name was voted unanimously at our meeting on April 18, 2017.
Thank you very much for your consideration and for instructions regarding the submission
of meeting materials going forward. The archive for meeting minutes and the Planning Board
website is not terribly up-to-date at this time, but I hope to have that remedied very soon. The
hard copies have been kept fairly up-to-date in the Planning Office.
