Description: This Fund is devoted to three purposes: Beautification, Human Services (primarily, to assist those in
our community who may need help to overcome a financial crisis), and Community Betterment Initiatives. The
Board is responsible for soliciting donations. In addition they review requests and disperse funds in accordance with
the criteria of the Fund.
Criteria for Membership: The Board of The Fund for Lexington (the Board) shall consist of two members of the
Board of Selectmen, one of whom shall be Chair, the chair or his designee of the Trustees of Public Trusts, one
resident Clergy, one Community Member and the presidents or their designees of two service or fraternal
organizations which are active within the Town. The identity of these organizations is to be determined annually by
the Board of Selectmen.
