Proposal to Install Temporary Lights at Lincoln
2017 Spring Season 6 Weeks April 3 through May 15
Proposal:
o LUSC requesting 6 week permit to install temporary lights at Lincoln #2 (most buffered from
neighbors)
o Fully funded by LUSC
o Weeknights only 7:00-8:30pm (shut off by 8:45pm to allow for player pickups)
Primary motivations:
o Possible late opening of grass fields due to late snowfalls
o Ensure LUSC can deliver on 2 practices/week outlined in its springprograms; with a
reasonable amount of time on the quality turf surface
Situation:

o LUSC has 68 teams this springat 3grade and above
o Represents roughly 990 children
Precedent:
o LUSC successfully used temporary lights at Lincoln 2 in fall 2014, spring 2015, fall 2015, and
fall 2016
