The minutes of March 22 were approved The next meeting will be on April 5, 2017 in the Parker Room, Town Office Building. Lorain asked TCC members to let her know if they will be purchasing T-shirts with the TCC logo. Approval of Applications No Fee (5 Units) The Committee approved the following parade units with no fee involved: DeFelice Lexington VFW – 2 cars The Fitter Femail – 2 cars Korean Organization of Lexington – 20 marchers Minuteman Indivisable – 5 to 6 marchers Original Freedom City – 50 marchers Fee Requested (7 Units) The Committee approved the following units and fees that represented no change from 2016: Jim Kilroy’s Jambalaya Band William Diamond Jr. Fife & Drum Corp Massachusetts Military Museum (George DeBonis) -- WWII Armored Vehicles The Committee approved the following new units and fees Martin Cox - two military vehicles Shriners Fire Brigade clowns Sons of Italy Drum & Bugle Corp Worcester Brass Band – military marching band Patriots Day, Monday, April 17, 2017 Kim announced that the Follen Church will not participate in the parade this year. Lorain will create a spreadsheet of the vehicles in parade for the Lexington Police to use. Cerise noted that all vehicles in the parade must have ID tags from the TCC. Suzanne will create the various versions of the parade roster needed for check in, etc. It was requested that a column be added to the rosters containing information about the number of marchers expected for each marching unit. This will allow the TCC to confirm that the number of marchers promised actually showed up for the parade. Lorain will speak with DPW about parking for TCC members at the Library on Patriots Day. Cerise announced that she has the tickets for the morning re-enactment bleachers and reviewing stand. She needs information about who should be on the reviewing stand vs. just bleacher seats. Geetha announced that the promotional video will be ready on Friday for review. She asked how she can get review of the video and feedback from TCC members. Morning Parade and Ceremony on the Green: Rich McDonough will be the MC for the morning ceremonies. Suzanne will prepare the script for the morning ceremonies.
