Review and Discuss Suggested Working Group Titles
Before reviewing the suggested titles, committee members agreed to allow for modifications in the
organization of working groups once they were established.
As discussion on the suggested working group titles commenced, Peter Enrich highlighted title no.
6 as being new and noted that what had been two separate titles previously were now coalesced
into title number four. Given that the latter change merged a title which was previously called
town services, Peter asked Rick if he had any feelings about the reduced focus on town services.
Rick supported the change and indicated that at several points throughout the process, there would
be several opportunities for town services to be examined. Rick also commented that with a
separate title devoted to finances (#6), he did not want the others to lose sight of fiscal reality and
place themselves in an advocacy role.
See original draft and revised list of suggested titles for detailed changes.
Description of Immediate Next Activities for Consultants
Wendy and Susan, with Candy’s assistance, will revise the list of titles/subtitles and begin
developing mission statements and guidelines for the working groups.
Outline of Current and Future Steering Committee Meetings
With only four Steering Committee meetings remaining in the year, the committee was reminded
of the urgency of developing and appointing participants to the working groups and core
participant groups. The committee recommitted itself to the goal of having the working groups up
and running before the first snowfall.
