Meeting Minutes
December 05, 2014
Present
: Al Zabin, Linda Vine, Bonnie Brodner, Aidan Evelyn, Fuang-Ying Huang,
Norman Cohen, Melissa Buttaro, Bhumip Khasnabish, and Judy Crocker
Meeting held in the Selectmen’s Hearing Room – Town Hall at 8:00 a.m.
The Committee reviewed and revised the letters to the resident and the local business
involved in an incident in the summer as well as the incident investigating report. Final
draft of the letters will be sent to Al, the chair of the committee for signature then to both
parties. The Committee agreed that a letter template would be helpful in shortening the
response time for similar situations in the future.
The Committee also discussed the importance and the role of IRT. Incident Response
Team (IRT) is made of members from various town departments that enable quick
respond to hate incidents and to report to members’ respective departments of such
incidents for the appropriate department to act accordingly and immediately.
The committee continued to discuss the monthly meeting time and agreed on the first
Friday of the month at 8:00 AM with the exception of January because of the holiday and
school break.
The meeting adjourned at 9:15 AM.
The next meeting is on Jan. 09, 2015 at 8:00AM at Selectman’s Hearing Room.
