Sean reports on the incident response procedures And, the following suggestions are to
be incorporated into incident response protocol
• Internal review and process review after each incident response
• Fact finding as part of the investigation, ie what, where and why
• Determine if any town authority/dept. should be notified and/or to handle the
incident before the investigation starts
• Training of HRC members on incident response, and be mobilized when needed
• The investigating/fact finding team should not be more than two members as not
to overwhelming the victim under such stressful circumstance
• Document/compile incidents whether it's handled by HRC or not, to have a
complete report on human rights violations in Lexington.
Next Steps
• Identify training program for IRT members
• Linda, Knstie, Charlotte and Jeffrey volunteered to draft the fact intake form
• Bonnie to recruit members to develop outreach program.
• Publicize HRC, many Lexington residents still not aware of HRC
Bonnie reported on a "Town Wide Conversation about Race" sponsored by the Lexington
Interfaith Clergy Association (LICA) that she attended on 4/30
• Attendees would like more venues to discuss issues around Race
• Bonnie will follow up with LICA to discuss having another conversation, possibly
coordinated together with LHRC and LICA
The meeting adjourned at 9 40AM.
