Dear Jane,
For the past 16-plus years, the Friends of the Council of Aging of Lexington has
provided the Lexington Veterans’ Association with a speaker honorarium. Since the
LVA has no operating funds of its own, this generous gesture has given us the means to
thank our excellent speakers for their volunteer service.
It goes without saying how much we have appreciated our close relationship over these
many years. Our partnership has helped the LVA to invite veterans, educators and
historians to tell their stories through our monthly speakers program.
As we look forward to another great year of programs that serve our veterans, their
families, and the larger community, the FCOA has our gratitude for including the
Lexington Veterans Association as part of your Community outreach efforts.
