Virtual Meeting MINUTES
September 21, 2022
Members Present (12): Glen Bassett, Linda Dixon, Cerise Jalelian, Gresh Lattimore, Sondra
Lucente, Lorain Marquis, Geetha Padaki, Sandy Podgorski, Sue Stering. Absent: Steve Cole,
Mary Hutton, Julie Miller. Quorum: 6.
Subcommittee Members (15): Sudha Balasuryan, Kevin Collins, Yifang Gong, Kristen Pulkkinen,
Ashley Rooney, Hong Xie. Absent: Dabby Harter. (Honorary Members: Henry Murphy, Bob
Tracey). 8 Vacancies.
Guests: Kim Katzenbach / Town, Doug Lucente / Select Board liaison.
7:10 PM: Meeting called to order by Chair, Geetha.
7:14 PM: Minutes of September 21, 2022, unanimously approved.
Expense & Reimbursement Guidelines from Town:
- Kim Katzenbach / Town explained the need for prompt submission of proper paperwork for
TCC expenses incurred personally by TCC members. Should be submitted within 2 weeks.
- See separate email from Glen including a “Procedure Document,” a Tax Exempt Form for
Lexington, and a W9 Form for further details.
Veterans Breakfast / Nov 5 (Lorain):
-No door prizes this year.
-Event tickets to be sold for $10 donation at Michelson’s Shoes and Visitors Center. Gina Rada
to assist with Veterans’ names and addresses.
-Yifang and Ashley will take photos.
-Minutemen to post colors.
Veterans Day Ceremony / Nov 11 (Linda): -Still not certain where the ceremony will be held. Neither LHS auditorium nor Town schools
have available space. Perhaps Minuteman Tech? Museum of National Heritage would cost
$900. Still searching!
-Oct 3 deadline for arts projects. Sue has identified 10 stores willing to display this art work.
-Jessie Chen / Never Failing Poppy Project will be contacted to provide handout poppies.
-A history hunt may be planned to encourage interest by younger folks.
Dance Around the World:
-This is a bi-annual event (since 2012). Town provides TCC with $5,000 budget to help with the
details.
-Council of the Arts / Elizabeth Wu. Is March 18th the date for this event?
Responsibilities for Members:
- Cerise will continue her updating of the TCC Member List.
-Kristen will be our liaison with Town PR ________?
