Keith will look into what other towns have done. • The Lexington Montessori School easement on DOT property - the Town does not have the resources to hold the easement at this time. Carol will communicate with LMS regarding the Town's decision. GCC will keep advocating for the trail connection. • Regarding seasonal trail maintenance on Town open space that is not in Conservation's bail- iwick, Carol will speak with Jordan McCarron regarding costs and will confer with the Town Manager. • The proposed Town of Lexington Property signs (for ambiguous locations) project should be presented to the Board of Selectmen. We need to think about where we want signs, how many we propose, and what the cost will be. • For the new brochure, Carol will ask Carl Valente (Town Manager) about funding. • Another meeting is scheduled for January. Ongoing Business: • Route H - the School Committee and the Conservation Commission have both given ap- proval for the planned trail route. Dave Cannon of the DPW met with Keith and Mike, and Todd Berger of the Lincoln St Neighborhood group to discuss the Lincoln St/Marrett Rd inter- section. Sidewalks may be built as development on Lincoln St proceeds, but for now Route H may be able to go through the parking lot at that corner. The Town right -of -way needs to be confirmed before that can happen. Regarding the Weston St/Lincoln St intersection, the DPW can put up more Pedestrian warning signs and there is a possibility of a crosswalk at the intersection of Lincoln St and Middle St. • Route H will be posted and signed in the Spring. • Discussion about a route including Hastings School. Laurel Carpenter has some ideas. • Brochure progress - see above notes on meeting with Carol Kowalski. • Regarding additional signage such as traffic warnings - where would we want them. Eileen has started a list, contact her with suggestions. This might be eligible for CPA funding, but we should fold it in with other requests if we have them. • A post is now needed on the corner of Sanderson and Lowell on Route D. The route marker was on a dead tree that was removed. Also, there are some bent signs at Arlington Great Meadows. Damage reports can be made in Keith's dropbox database, keep a lookout as you rove the trails. • We discussed localized map signs - Waltham Land Trust has some, as does the Western Greenway. • Brief discussion of future route possibilities. New Business: none at this time Pending Items: • Garfield St abutter indemnity letter • List of Town easements (Keith emailed existing list) • Generic Town property signs (Mike) • Seasonal trail maintenance on non - Conservation properties Next Meeting: January 23, 4:30- 6:OOpm, Ellen Stone Room Future meetings: Jan 23, Feb 27, Mar 27, Apr 24, May 22, Jun 19 Proposed later 2017 meeting dates: (Jul 24), (Aug 28), Sep 25, Oct 23, Nov 27, Dec 18 (3rd Monday) Future Agenda Items: None at this time beyond continued trail investigation and development Respectfully Submitted by Alexandra Dohan, Secretary
