with circular seating and seating walls

MA.
• Kids took the Park Exam using computer
performed better than kids on paper.
• The long composition in Grade 4 will be
gone. The Harrington teachers prepare
students to write long composition in
the course of a few weeks, not in one
day.
• The school will prepare students how to
use computers before the MCAS.
• Science will not change this year but will
be reviewed in the future on what is the
best content and format for testing.
• The Council discussed the purpose of
MCAS. The general view is it is more
important for the educators to see the
trending over time, not so much for
individual student.
5. Kindergarten Dismissal D. Bonarrigo
• Right now at dismissal time parents can
wait in the lobby to pick up
kindergarteners.
• From 3 -6PM the doors are open so
people can enter easily.
• This may be a security concern.
• One suggestion is that the parents wait
outside and let Kindergarten teachers
dismiss kids to the parents, instead of
allowing parents coming in the building
to pick up.
• Need to research how other schools are
handling this.
