Regular Session Minutes
March 3, 2016
A Meeting of the Board of Assessors was held on March 3, 2016 at 8:45 a.m. located in
the Captain Parker Meeting Room G -15 of the Town Hall Office Building. In attendance:
Gregory Johnson, Chairman, Edmund C. Grant, Member, Casimir Groblewski, Member,
Robert F. Lent, Director of Assessing, Michael Golden, Residential Field
Manager /Assistant Assessor and Sandra Pentedemos, Office Manager /Administrative
Assessor.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors roll call 3 -0, began at
8:55 a.m.
Consent Agenda
Public Comment Time: There were no attendees.
There were no impact discussions of Financial Issues including Overlay as listed on the
Agenda.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors went into Executive
Session at 9:05 a.m. to discuss the items listed on the Agenda.
Executive Session
The Board reviewed and discussed twenty (20) Fiscal Year 2016 Statutory Exemption
Applications:
Five (5) Clause 41A Tax Deferral Exemptions
Five (5) Statement of Entries to be recorded for each Tax Deferral were signed and
notarized.
Six (6) Clause 41C Elderly Exemptions
Three (3) Community Preservation Surcharge Chapter 44B Exemptions
One (1) Clause 42 Surviving Spouse Exemption
Two (2) Clause 22 Veteran Exemptions
Three (3) Clause 22E Veteran Exemptions

• Motion was made and seconded, to approve eighteen (18) Statutory Exemptions
• Motion was made and seconded, to deny two (2) Statutory Exemptions
The Board reviewed and discussed fourteen (14) Fiscal Year 2016 Real Estate
Abatement Applications:
• Motion was made and seconded to approve, thirteen (13) Real Estate
Abatements
• Motion was made and seconded to deny, one (1) Real Estate Abatement
There were no Appellate Tax Board Appeals to discuss.
The Board approved the Meeting Minutes held on January 21, 2016.
Upon motion duly made and seconded to adjourn the Executive Session at 11:15 a.m.
and return to the Regular Session of the Meeting.
The next scheduled Meeting will be held on March 24, 2016.
There being no other business a motion was duly made and seconded at 11:30 a.m. to
adjourn the Meeting.
