Approvals
• Minutes from 9/8/16 Business Meeting were unanimously approved
Reports of Officers
• Treasurer Report: no report available for this meeting.
• Membership report: there are currently SEPAC/SEPTA 88 members
Other Business
• Dyslexia movie update—meeting was well attended Dyslexia subgroup plan to have a "meet and
greet" in winter and another panel in the spring. Group plans to work with Ellen Sugita to communicate
positive developments regarding dyslexia training and screening.
• Attendees discussed concerns of LLP (Language Learning Program)transitions from elementary to
middle school—particularly lack of math support.
• ILP Fiske concerns—team discussed concerns about the oversight of BCBA and SSI staff, transition
issues, and health concerns. SEPAC/SEPTA continuing to communicate parent concerns to district
leadership and staff
• Upcoming 2016-2017 Meetings/Events
• Transition Subgroup is planning upcoming meetings under the leadership of Ann Wolf and Barbara
White
• A LexSEPTA team has been created for the November Genesis race
• Life Worth Living movie event scheduled for Nov 16th at the Lexington Venue
• December 8th—Q&A with Superintendent Dr Czajkowski and Ellen Sugita
