There were several points of conversation, including: the Pelham Road school build- ing; the Lexington Montessori School easement on DOT property; the Garfield St private way issue; maintenance of Open Space that is not Conservation property such as the Laconia St parcel, the path from Bridge School to Coppersmyth Way, and the Shire easement. Mike has made a mock -up of a proposed Town of Lexington Property sign that could be used for am- biguous locations. Another meeting is scheduled for December 15. • A new Superintendent has not yet been appointed for the Minute Man National Historical Park. It would be good if the GCC could arrange a meeting as soon as possible once a new Superintendent is on board to request permission for continuing Route F through the Park. Richard Canale will be monitoring the situation on behalf of GCC. • The Shire trail is done! A few more signs need to be installed, but the trail is ready for use. Ongoing Business: • Route H - discussion of the trail segment between Coppersmyth Way and the Bridge School playing fields. General agreement was made that the walk as "tested" a couple of weeks ago was satisfactory to all. Brief discussion of ldylwilde path, will be presented to Conservation Commission on Monday. Need to be in communication with DPW regarding clearing along a portion of Lincoln St, and perhaps get the Lincoln St Neighborhood group involved. • Mike has an ARC GIS map all set for Route H. Posts and signs will go up in the spring. • The Weston St intersection with Lincoln Street would benefit from the installation of a cross- walk and additional caution signs. This will be discussed when we meet on site with DPW. • Brochure - The budget for design, layout, and printing is $3000.00. The Community Fund for Lexington wants new projects, so GCC maps don't qualify, since we are an ongoing activity. Lots of maps are needed for different activities (Tourism, Bikeway, etc.). Keith will add a dis- cussion item to the next meeting with Carol Kowalski to strategize on how this might be in- cluded in the FY2018 budgeting cycle. • Without new maps, we need to try to get online map updated sooner rather than later. • Alternative route signage, such as maps mounted on posts, would be expensive. • Susan and Peggy met with Maria Tintocalis about the kiosk planning and will continue to monitor the design process. New Business: none at this time Pending Items: • Garfield St abutter indemnity letter • List of Town easements (Keith emailed existing list) • Generic Town property signs (Mike) • Seasonal trail maintenance on non - Conservation properties Next Meeting: December 19, 2016, 4:30- 6:OOpm, location TBD Future meetings: Proposed 2017 meeting dates: Jan 23, Feb 27, Mar 27, Apr 24, May 22, Jun 19, (Jul 24), (Aug 28), Sep 25, Oct 23, Nov 27, Dec 18 (3rd Monday) Future Agenda Items: None at this time beyond continued trail investigation and development Respectfully Submitted by Alexandra Dohan, Secretary
