Jennifer Yaar, Kathy Cunningham, Robin Abrams, Lisa O'Brien, Jeanne DeSanto, Andrew Baker, Casey Lan, Bettina McGimsey, Mona Roy, Barbara White, Margy Medini, Jill Tilem Location Lexington Community Center, Room 217 Call to order• 9 09 am Adjourned 10 25 am Approvals • Minutes from 7/14/16 Business Meeting were unanimously approved Reports of Officers • Treasurer Report: current balance is $3766 00,with $880 00 in new membership deposits. • Membership report: there are currently SEPAC/SEPTA 43 members Other Business • Team discussed the idea of creating a Facebook page and possibly creating a Communications role This role could be filled by a student volunteer looking to get community service hours. Lisa O'Brien to write a description of the role • 2016-2017 Meetings o 9/8 Networking meeting—all preparations complete o 10/13 Dyslexia meeting ■ Robin to order movie ■ Dr Czajkowski to let LPS staff know about the presentation as well LPS is also creating a district task force to look at how dyslexia is diagnosed and how services are provided through LPS. ■ Robin and Bettina to follow up with presenters to ensure that the discussed after the film is segmented appropriately for younger and older students. ■ Jenn Yaar to confirm availability of Science Lecture Hall with Laurie Lucibello o Attendees discussed the idea of having index cards available for anonymous questions at all meetings. o Jenn Yaar to follow up on booking Basic Rights presentation for November 3 • Attendees discussed the idea of getting directors/officers insurance—information might be available via the PTA packet. • Team discussed the possibility of creating a LexSEPTA team for the November Genesis race. Jennifer Yaar to follow up with race directors. • Fiske ILP discussion—SEPAC team members to meet Fiske ILP parents to discuss concerns on 9/19/16 • LHS ILP—NECC employee has been hired to serve as an ETS.
