HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-08-19-LEXHAB-min.revMINUTES Minutes of the meeting held at the offices of LexHAB at 1620 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington on August 19, 2016 Those present at the meeting the Chairman Bill Kennedy, Vice - chairman, Bob Burbidge, Bill Hays and Lester Savage, Henry Liu. Also present were Patricia Nelson LexHAB counsel and Bob Pressman. Not present was Bob Phelan and Martha Wood and Gerry Howell. Donna Leary was on phone. The chairman presided. The meeting opened at 7:06 a.m. 1. Minutes The minutes for the meeting on July 2016 were approved as presented. 2. Financials No Financial report this month. 2A. Task Force Property Assessment update: Maryann reported that the exterior work on LexHAB units continue as well as the interior updates. 2B. No task force meetings to report on this month. 3. Busa Farm A. We are awaiting an engineering report in order to complete the application process. 4. Fairview 4A. Old house has new roof, windows to start next week, house will be ready when the minuteman students come back. 4B. The New house insulation in place, slab was poured, framers to complete framing this month. Payments for the cement truck were made at time of services. It was stated that LexHAB would like to continue their relationship with Minuteman Tech. 4 C. It was motioned and seconded to give Lester savage the ability to sign checks for the Fairview project. All in favor, motion passed. 5. Wright Farm A meeting was scheduled with Carol Kowalski from the Town Managers office to discuss the LIP process. 6. Keeler Farm No Report at this time 7. Leary Discussions were had about the need for a project manager to oversee the construction process. Also noted was that LexHAB still does not have the deed for this parcel. 8. Other Matters 8A. LexHAB wants to invite John Biggins to the next meeting. 8 B. The task force has scheduled a meeting for Thursday September 15t 9. Next Meeting The next meeting of the LexHAB Board, will be held at the LexHAB offices at 1620 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington at 7 a.m. on September 15, 2016 10. Executive Session The chairman then proposed that the Board go into executive session to consider tenant matters, stating that consideration of same in open session could have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of a semi - public body, namely LexHAB, and might also affect adversely the privacy rights of tenants and that the Board not return open session at the end except to adjourn. Meeting was adjourned at 8:59am.
