Meeting Minutes
May 24, 2016
Attendees: David Williams, Chairman, Cynthia Kuechle, Robert Pressman, Lynne Wilson, Doug Lucente,
Joanne Shorter, Brian Kelley
Chairman opened the meeting at 8:50AM
Meeting Minutes - the committee reviewed and approved the Minutes from May 5, 2016.
The Chairman will meet with Town Controller on June 8th to discuss the $30,000 expenditures and
keeping in compliance with the open bidding law.
The committee will investigate whether or not the cost is much greater to do the engraving once it is in
place. The Chairman will inquire with Wesley on the possibilities of this.
A contract has been signed with the grant writer. It may take up to a year for funds to come in from
this. The good news is that there is already seed money for the project.
Cynthia Kuechle discussed reaching out to people in the art community. A fundraising dinner was
discussed as well. She has reached out to a contact and discussed a strategy for fundraising. Collectively
we will reach out to members of the Art community to ask how to raise money. She will circle back to
her contact to try to setup a meeting.
The Chairman will invite Wesley Wirth to the next meeting to discuss the Granite Forrest plans.
The Chairman will reach out to a contact and Lynne will also reach out to a contact regarding
fundraising.
Next meeting will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 7:30pm.
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 am.
